storming in December?

Yep that's right its storming in December. There was snow on the ground when I went to bed last night. Now its just puddles. I love Illinois weather cause one never knows what they're going to wake up to. It can be a pain sometimes when trying to make plans, but this morning its not a pain at all. I think its going to be a good day & a good end of the year. Happy New Year everyone. I hope the new year brings lots of smiles to you and your families.

Big Congrats

I want to give a big CONGRATS to my wonderful nephew Tyler. He got up early and went to the DMV to get his license. Instructor said he did great.
Also Tyler has been working extremely hard on earning his Eagle rank in Boy Scouts. He went in front of the Board tonight and was promoted to Eagle. I am so very proud of him. I am told this is the hardest rank to achieve. Most boys have to redo a lot of things, but not Tyler he folowed everything to a T. Great Job Tyler!!!!!!

blah day

Ever just feel like its just not your day? Today was that day. Nothing bad happened, just not all there today. My lil man David is starting solids. I'm suppose to start him on cereal first however he won't touch it. He spits it out. So I made a trip to Walmart after physical therapy to get baby food. He loves bananas and peaches. Haven't tried veggies yet. Tomorrow we are going to start squash. Yum yum

My serpentine belt broke off my car and I drove it 25 miles home with no power steering yesterday. Get it home and it dies in the driveway. So I call my boyfriend to fix it. He couldnt come till this morning. So I went and purchased the belt yesterday. My boyfriend comes down this morning & just my luck the auto parts store sold me the wrong belt. UGH!!!!!!! Since he had to go to work & wouldn't be able to fix it till tomorrow I decided that I am Super Woman & can do anything. I went & exchanged the belt & with the help of my 13 yo daughter and a few calls to auto store I got my car fixed all by myself. This is a very big accomplishment for me. I am so proud of myself & glad my daughter was there to witness this experience. I just hope now she realizes that girls can do anything boys can as long as we try.

Now that fall has arrived, (and well...as of today WINTER has also arrived here in a big, blustery storm!), we are all about layering. Ace of Cakes/30 Rock Cheesy Blasters

My wonderful 12 yo daughter was watching Ace of Cakes over the weekend and the wonderful Duff made a cake and also some cheesy blasters for the crew of 30 Rock. My daughter thought they looked so good she made me make them. For anyone who doesn't know what a cheesy blaster is a cheesy blaster is a hot dog stuffed with cheese and rolled up in pizza dough with pizza sauce pepperoni & cheese. So we went to our local Berkots this morning and got all the stuff for them. My daughters & I had such a blast making a mess in the kitchen. They are out of the oven now & we are waiting for them to cool down. Can't wait to try them. The only recommendation I can make is instead of pizza dough try using croissant rolls instead, they are pre-cut and I think it would be less of a mess. I owuld post a picture but they were really messy going in so they don't look that great when they came out. LOL. If they are good we are planning to make them later in the week with croissant rolls & I will post a picture them.

Baby David

Going to Doctors today for a check up. Went last week for emergency visit due to pain in my upper left side. Turns out it was my muscle tearing because he is sitting so low. It feels like he is trying to claw his way out. The pain has minimized for the most part and only hurts when he situates himself on my left side and decides he needs to stretch.
I can already tell he is going to bond with his sisters when I poke fun at my oldest one he kicks me hard as if to tell me to leave her alone. My youngest one gets him moving at night when she is making excuses to stay up. I think i am going to have my hands full when he comes. I just hope he waits till his daddy comes home from working out of state before he comes.

New Play Yard

Went shopping yesterday with my wonderful mom & she surprised me with a new play yard. This play yard is the bomb. It has wheels so I can move it easily,a removable bassinet,a changing pad, a nightlight, music & it vibrates!!! The only thing it is missing is my little David.Only 37 more days to go hopefully sooner!!!

Udderly Smooth udder cream

Let me first say that I received a sample of of Udderly Smooth from my mom. No one asked me to write this. I did it because I think everyone should know about this great body cream. The sample folded in half is a little smaller than a chap stick tube. Not very big of a sample for lotion. I was expecting to use it for my hands and that was it. Boy was I wrong..... I was able to use it for both hands, arms, legs, feet and my huge prego belly. I could not believe how a little does go a long way.My skin has been very dry lately due to my pregnancy, and most lotions I have to put on a few times a day because I constantly wash my hands and they gt dry. I don't think I'm going to have this problem again. I just gave my youngest daughter a bath and my hands and arms are still very soft and moisturized. This is going to be my body cream from now on.I checked their website because I figured it would be pretty expensive cause it works so well. Once again I was wrong big time. A 4oz tube is only 2.75 on the website. I'm thinkin a 4oz tube should last me at least a month or so because a little goes such a long way. So I am new to this blogging thing. I hope I do everything right. I wanted to start a blog because I have a lot to say when it comes to my children and their education and the toys they play with. I wish I had a blog or place I could go to get information on certain toys, books etc. It is hard being a mom but well worth it. What I hope to accomplish with this blog is that I will be able to post any thing I have questions about or help other moms who have questions.
